Do you like synthesisers and want to play with some you don't have and hang out with other knob knerdz? Do you have some really interesting stuff you want to show to other people and let them play with? Do you build stuff on a kitchen table or in a factory and want to get it in front of people? this is the event for you!

September 14-15 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg Chicagoland IL USA

Friday night: it's a party. live music and a cash bar. live video art by Brownshoesonly. musicians TBA. doors at 6 pm. music starts at 7pm and runs until 11pm or so.

Saturday: the main event. the beautiful social chaos of people and their things in one room, workshops in another. Monotribe Demolition Derby will be judged on Saturday night. There will be a drawing for door prizes from our sponsors (Five12 and STG Soundlabs) as well. you can arrive as early as 10 am, i will kick people out by 10pm.

Monotribe Demolition Derby Rules:

1. Devices must be ready by 2 pm on Saturday the 15th of August 2012 AD for day 2 of Knobcon.
2. Your device must include, parts of or its entirety, a Korg Monotribe which you have sourced yourself.
3. Your device must produce sound.

Devices will be judged in quality by a panel and prizes awarded.


rooms for our event are 79 USD per night plus tax. hotel reservations need to be placed through this link.

admission is 20 USD if you're by yourself, 45 USD if you want a table with electricity (enthusiast and manufacturer pricing is the same, if you want to treat it like a swap meet go ahead be my guest, it's your table.)
